Keep It Tight

Queens of Irish comedy, Deirdre O’Kane and Emma Doran, are bringing their hit podcast Keep It Tight on the road. Fresh from their weekly podcast success, Deirdre and Emma are hitting the stage to share their take on everything that’s delighted, bewildered or downright enraged them. Expect quick wit with no topic off limits - from the highest brow to the lowest pelvic floor! With their natural chemistry and razor-sharp humour, this is your chance to see two comedic powerhouses live and unfiltered.

Deirdre O'Kane

Deirdre O’Kane grabs the zeitgeist once again with a brand-new show in a world that feels decidedly off kilter. She contrasts everyday domestic failures with bigger moments of historical injustice, while taking aim at the double tragedies of heartbreak and getting Christmas all wrong. Nothing is sacred and no one is safe from O’Kane’s mischievous eye as she turns irritation, absurdity and outrage into brilliantly observed and hilarious stand-up.

Emma Doran

Emma’s jealousy of Billy Barry kids came to a boiling point 10 years ago when she decided to do her first stand-up gig at the Ha’penny Bridge Inn. It was love/obsession after that first 7-minute set to 20 odd people, and she hasn’t stopped since, only to give birth occasionally. Most recently, Emma was part of the fab five that made up the RTE sketch show No Worries If Not. Emma confirmed her spot on the national broadcaster after achieving huge success with her online comedy sketches. Never forgetting about her stand-up roots though, she’s always been gigging non-stop and has performed at some of the country’s biggest venues like The 3 Arena (and some of its smallest, roughest ones too tbf). After 2 sell out shows in Liberty Hall in 2022 in a couple of days with her show Mad Isn’t It, Emma set on chasing those big venues as a headliner (well Vicar Street anyway). “2023 saw Emma’s first nationwide tour with 3 nights in Vicar and 2 nights in Soho Theatre, London.” As a regular on television series like ‘Republic of Telly’, ‘Bridget and Eamonn’ and ‘Callan Kicks’ over the years, Emma has even popped up in Amazon Prime’s series ‘Modern Love’ in 2022 alongside Kit Harington. She’s also been a regular TV and radio contributor on shows like ‘Clear History’ and, if audio is more your thing, she has a podcast with her daughter called You’re Grounded. Not bad for a girl who had a baby during her Leaving Cert, eh? And she’s not finished yet. Other reasons you might recognise Emma; The Late Late Show in 2022 when she told Ryan Tubridy about the silent ride. Celebrity Ireland’s Fittest Family when Glenda Gilson tried to drown her. Celebrity Gogglebox 2023 or maybe her Instagram and all the videos she films on her cracked Samsung phone.
