Gearóid McCarthy is an Irish singer and musician from Foynes, County Limerick. He first gained national recognition as a solo artist, finishing third on RTÉ’s Class Act. His career expanded significantly when he joined the well-known West Limerick band, Mad for Road. With the band, he achieved further fame by finishing as runners-up on The All-Ireland Talent Show on RTÉ. Following this success, McCarthy built his career through extensive international performances. He played a season in Lanzarote and Santa Ponsa before becoming the resident band leader for two years at the renowned Raglan Road Irish Pub in Disney World, Orlando. He then spent another two years touring globally with the production show ‘Celtic Legends’. After returning to Ireland, he brought his own show to the pubs of Dublin’s Temple Bar. Today, Gearóid McCarthy continues to tour his music worldwide.
